Machine Operator General, Machine Shop

·         Operates a variety of machine to tap, ream, sand, drill, paint, broach, bore, mill, test, etc brass castings to required specifications.

General Machine Setter Operator, Machine Shop

·         Sets up and operates a variety of machines to tap, ream, sand, drill, broach, bore, mill, test etc brass castings to required specifications.  May also set up horizontal machining centre, VDF Lathes, chucking machines.

CNC Turret Lathe Setter Operator, Machine Shop

·         Sets up and operates numerical controlled turret lathe and auxiliary operations to perform various threading, milling, turning, boring, drilling, facing, testing and packaging operations.  Conducts QA audits.

Trim Press Operator, Foundry

·         Required to operate a small press set up with a trim die to remove casting flash or to straighten a variety of parts.

Foundry jobs are in a hot environment.  Rates of pay will begin at $21.00 per hour.  Excellent benefits.  Shift work will be required, steady days or steady nights.  New hires usually find themselves on the afternoon shift, four 10 hour shifts, M,T,W,T.

People are usually hired to foundry roles or general machining roles.  As their service increases over several years they usually move to jobs of higher responsibility and pay through internal job posting.  We have an excellent reputation of hiring from within.  If selected for an interview candidates will be required to submit to testing for mechanical reasoning and problem solving ability.

Candidates must have grade 12, appropriate designations, experience related to automotive; 5S, Lean, Kaizan, stamping, and robotic
